JV Basketball 1 Falls to Longmeadow, Rallies against Cardigan

CANAAN, NH – February 10, 2024 – Junior Varsity Basketball 1 suffered a tough 35-28 loss to Longmeadow High School on February 7, but the team recovered over the weekend to beat Cardigan 54-38 on February 10.

 

Luck didn’t go the Eagles’ way throughout their away game and against Longmeadow, with shots failing to find the net, a number of costly turnovers, and difficulty beating the Lancers’ court press.

 

Bodie B. ’25 stood out for the Eagles, however, and helped keep the team close throughout the game.

 

On Saturday, February 11, the team played Cardigan on the road. The score was tight through the first half, with the Eagles leading 22-21 at mid-game.

 

Eaglebrook tallied up a big lead in the second half, using strong play on defense and another standout performance from Bodie B. on offense (28 points) to put the game away.
