Varsity basketball vs. Cardigan Mountain School

On Saturday the Varsity team made the long trek up to Cardigan Mountain School. Despite being short handed, the boys were fired up for the challenge. Cardigan came out aggressively and quickly jumped out to a lead.  The Ealges stuck with it, knowing the working through Cardigans runs would be necessary for us to make it a competitive game. Each time the Cougars opened up a sizable lead, the team battled back. For the majority of the first half the Cardigan's lead hovered right around six point. A few costly turnovers allowed Cardigan to get some breathing room and the lead halftime deficit for Eaglebrook was 11 points. The Eagles continued to battle hard on the boards and again managed to cut into Cardigan's second half lead, trailing by six with 12:14 left to play. Despite a solid effort all round, the Eagles just couldn't keep up with the Cougars and ended up losing by 22 points.
