Junior Varsity hockey vs. Keene Cobras Bantam A Team

The JV hockey team welcomed the Keene Cobras Bantam A team to the Alfond Arena for a rare Wednesday night game. The Eagles had a sleepy start to the game, playing much of the time in our zone for the first 10 minutes of the game. Little by little the home team started to wake up and gain momentum and it paid off when Cam R. '25 rang a shot off the post and in to make it 1-0. The second period of the game was some of the best hockey played all season by the Eagles, with quick puck movement, unselfish play, and a tenacious forecheck. The end result of this was a 3-0 lead due to hard-working goals by Colin G. '26 and Wade C '24. The Eagles had some strong moments in the 3rd period, but some bad habits crept in that led to some strong scoring chances by Keene and eventually, they were able to get one by the Eaglebrook goalie. To the credit of the team, they were able to bend but not break and Brady C. '25 finished the game off with an empty net goal from well beyond the center line. Eaglebrook goalies Mike M. '27 and Connor W. '25 came up with several big saves when the team needed them the most to secure the 4-1 win. The JV squad heads up to Canaan New Hampshire on Saturday for a big rematch with the Cougars of Cardigan Mountain School.
