Thirds basketball vs. Four Rivers Charter School

Overcoming a double-digit first-half deficit, Thirds basketball topped Four Rivers Charter School with a strong second half to prevail in a 38-35 final at home on Wednesday afternoon to even its season mark at 2-2. The victory not only avenged an earlier loss for the Eagles to Four Rivers nearly three weeks ago but breathed new life into a squad that was missing the service of two of its starters due to injuries. Ali L '25 imposing defense against the visitors' top scorer held the visitors to four points in the second quarter, gave the home hosts the chance to chip away at the deficit while Daniel P. '26 pair of buckets in the closing seconds of first half brought his team to within four at the half. Neither team managed to pull away in a hard-fought third period, setting the stage for the decisive fourth period that saw the Brookies score the game's final five points to complete the valiant comeback victory.

Next up for the Brookies will be the Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion School at home with tipoff scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Thursday (Feb 8th)
