Thirds tennis vs. Cardigan Mountain School

Thirds Tennis dropped its season finale on the road with a 3-6 loss to Cardigan Mountain School on Saturday afternoon to cap off the season with a 3-1 mark. Heading into the contest against Cardigan with a perfect 3-0 record, the Eagles had a good chance to achieve perfection with a win. But despite having beaten the Cougars once on their previous visit in April by a narrow 5-4 margin, the Eagles did not start off the match well with two straight defeats in the three doubles matches. The players on the singles' side had a chance to overcome the initial deficit with early leads in their respective matches. But with the perfect season on the line and an energetic home crowd cheering on the Cougars, the Eagles would falter in the end by losing four of the six singles matches en route to their first setback of the season.
