Junior Varsity/ Thirds squash vs. Bement School
Our third Bement/Eaglebrook squash match took place on Tuesday. Bement brought 19 players and with 2 of their players playing twice we were able to have competitive games for all 21 of our players. Twenty-one squash matches in a row against a single opponent may be a record for Eaglebrook.
Like last week, we came out strong and won our first 17 matches. Our number 20 and number 21 players fought hard but lost to much higher-ranked opponents. In the #2 seed match, Ben L. '24 put in a huge effort, and went five sets, but lost in "overtime" 13-11. At #1 Ryan S. '23 got his chance to play the famous Flora from Bement. Ryan also put in a big effort, lunging around the court, and getting almost every ball, but couldn't match the experience of his opponent. Final score Eaglebrook 17 / Bement 4.
