Varsity Tennis v. Suffield
Yesterday the Eaglebrook Varsity Tennis team headed an hour south to the beautiful town of Suffield, Connecticut to play Suffield Academy. The weather was perfect, complemented by the frequent airliners flying overhead as they approached Bradley Field.
Each match was an abbreviated format, with eight-game pro-sets and no ad. The Brookies capitalized and quickly came out of the gates with three doubles victories. The following six singles matches were closer, with many nail-biting points versus the older opponents. However, the team prevailed and went home with seven points and a victory. Many thanks to our hosts from Suffield, as they battled heartily with grace and sportsmanship.
Spirits were high as we returned north, refueling at Chipotle along the way. Wish us luck tomorrow as we host Fessenden, always an exciting and competitive day of play!
