Varsity Basketball v. Deerfield Academy

The Varsity boys took on our closest rivals from Deerfield Academy on Saturday, January 5. The team started off fairy slowly in our first game since the winter vacation and battled with Deerfield throughout the first half. Every time we were able to open up a lead, Deerfield came back to keep the game close, and the first half closed with Eaglebrook holding a six-point advantage. During the second half the Eagles really started to put things together on both ends of the floor. Led by Daniel Nixon's unselfish play the Brookies quickly opened up a significant lead and played well throughout the second half. Every healthy member of the team scored, with both Aaron Williams '19 and Mac Childs '19 have their best games of the year. Looking ahead Eaglebrook plays NMH at home on Wednesday and then to depart for New York City to take part in the Boys Club Tournament this upcoming weekend.
