Robotics Team Wins Finalist Alliance Captain Award at First Tech Challenge

On Sunday, January 11, the Eaglebrook Eagles (Team #15943) competed in the FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) Massachusetts Regional Qualifier at Andover High School. 
FIRST® is a leading global youth robotics organization that hosts competitive robotics programs for students worldwide.

Eaglebrook students qualified for the playoffs as the fifth-seed alliance and won four of the next five matches in the double-elimination playoffs round. After a strong performance in the final, they were defeated by the tournament’s top-seeded alliance. Due to their stellar performance throughout the competition, the team was awarded the Finalist Alliance Captain distinction. The award was announced at the following Monday morning Assembly, and presented to Head of School, Andrew Chase.

Eaglebrook has proudly participated in the FIRST® Tech Challenge since 2018, and under the leadership of faculty member Paul Huang ’86 and with the support of coaches Nick Sadnytzky and Dorsen Joseph, the program continues to grow in both scope and impact. Robotics plays a crucial role at Eaglebrook, providing students with hands-on experience in problem-solving, collaboration, and creative thinking. 

This year’s Eaglebrook Robotics team consists of the following students: Taka T. ’27, Darcy Y. ’27, Max Y. ’26, Michael K. ’27, Jack M. ’27, Lucas W. ’27, Ethan B. ’27, James W. ’27, Leon T. ’28, Nathan K. ’28, Fede P. ’26, and Danny C. ’26.
