Eaglebrook jumps on Brattleboro early and coasts to 11-3 win
Eaglebrook jumped out to an early lead on Brattleboro and captured an 11-3 victory on Wednesday.
Nine runs in the first three innings allowed Eaglebrook to put the game away early.
Matt Dulmaine, Dom Cormier, Jack Denhart, and Payten Doherty all singed in the first inning, and an error during the second inning supplied the early offense for Eaglebrook. In the third inning, Eaglebrook scored two more runs off of a pair of singles hit by Sam Born and Payten Doherty.
It was a good day at the plate for Eaglebrook's Dom Cormier. Dom went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fourth. Jack Denhart also had two RBIs, and Payten Doherty had three.
Will Jordan brought the heat against Brattleboro during his outing. Brattleboro managed just one hit off of Will, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.
Eaglebrook matched their two-run third inning with two more in the fourth. A Court Coleman walk, a Gianni Demerski single, a Dom Cormier triple, and a Jake Presnal single all but put the game out of reach.
Greg Sohmer and Jacob Mehl both pitched well in relief, allowing only one earned run between the two of them.
