Varsity Baseball v. Avon Old Farms

Eaglebrook offense too much for Avon Old Farms in 23-5 rout.

Eaglebrook shut the door early on Avon Old Farms, capturing a 23-5 victory on Saturday in Avon, CT. The game was decided quickly as the Eagles exerted their will early with 15 runs in the first three innings.

A walk by Gianni Dermerski, a passed ball, an RBI single by Jake Presnal, a sacrifice by Payten Doherty, and an RBI single by Jack Sohmer during the first inning, and a line drive up the middle by Matthew Dulmaine, and an RBI double by Levi Constant in the second, fueled Eaglebrook's offense early.
Gianni boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the Eagles.

Will Jordan got the win for Eaglebrook. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out six, walked none and surrendered four hits.
Eaglebrook pounded Avon Old Farms pitching, as six hitters combined for 13 hits, 11 RBIs and 13 runs scored. After posting seven runs in the third, Eaglebrook again scored seven in the sixth.

Eaglebrook is off to a solid start to the season, but will be tested this week with an away game at Williston on Wednesday, and another at NMH on Saturday.
