Today was an outstanding display of hard work, sportsmanship and excellent Ultimate. Charlemont is a strong team and provided us with the opportunity to step up our level of play and left us with little room for error. Amazing defense was shown by teammates Taran Weeks, Andrew Warner, and Ivan Katyshev. At the half, Eaglebrook was up 8 to 4 after completing some textbook perfect offensive plays. After the half, Charlemont put on the pressure and brought the score to 10 - 9 with Eaglebrook in the lead by only one point. It was critical that Eaglebrook maintain focus and give every ounce of effort possible to hold the lead. Eaglebrook played the best Ultimate we have seen all year and made expert passes, beautiful cuts, and played stellar zone defense to finish the game with a 15 - 9 victory, stalling Charlemont's offense. Max Wu, Garrick Gu, Stephen Wang, John Santolucito, and Pi Vichaya were in the right spot at the right time throughout the game, completing amazing plays and making great snags. Ramzi Moushabeck and Ivan Katyshev led the team in assists and Ivan and Sander Straus led the team in goals, but every player played with poise and intensity. It was truly an exceptional game.
