Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. Learn about the programs we offer at Eaglebrook, from athletics to arts.
At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
"I came to Eaglebrook from Natchitoches, Louisiana. After Eaglebrook I attended Loomis Chaffee and was class of 2000 at Georgetown University. My memories on the Hill include Baines and Halsted, Saturday morning activities like playing Scrabble or making jelly, ski days, hiking days, vespers, and writing goals on an index card every year! I also remember all the excellent manners we were taught in the dining hall. After Georgetown, I joined the Analyst Program at J.P. Morgan and was in the Corporate Development Group at PepsiCo. I attended the Wharton School for my MBA and graduated in 2006. I am currently an Associate at Citigroup in Investment Research covering Softline Retailers. I am thankful that Eaglebrook gave me so many opportunities and I am glad that the Admissions department decided to take a chance on someone like me. Eaglebrook was a strong and essential foundation that made me more curious, more worldly, and a better communicator. I also appreciate all the support from faculty as I believe they were tirelessly dedicated to helping us develop. I live in New York City and I am delighted to stay in touch with the Hill and look forward to hearing about how my fellow classmates are doing, please feel free to drop me a line oliverchen59@gmail.com!"
