Track v. Rectory
On May 6, 2009 Rectory drove up from Connecticut for a Track & Field Meet. Eaglebrook won the meet with a total of 70 points to Rectory’s 28 points.
To start off the meet, our 4 x 100 relay team made up by Jin Woo Choi ’09, Greg Poole ’10, Sean Lee ’09, and Johnathan Flores ’09 took first place. Our second relay team took third place, which was made up by Junbeom Ku ’11, Hilton Chao ’11, Andrew Nelson, 10, and Che Chengsupanimit ’09. George Reich ’09 took first place in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:44, Sunho Park ’10 took third place with a time of 5:04. Eaglebrook swept the 100-meter dash with Jin Woo Choi ’09 taking first, Greg Poole ’10 taking second and Johnathan Flores ’09 taking third place. Another sweep for Eaglebrook was in the 400 meters, with Sean Lee ’09 taking first, Austin Teece ’09 taking second, and Sam Prout ’10 taking third place. Eaglebrook swept again in the 800 meters, George Reich ’09 earned first place, Kian Ivey ’09 took second, and Sunho Park ’10 took third place. Another clean sweep for the Brookies was in the 200 meters, Greg Poole ’09 making a school record as well as a personal best with a time of 22.34 seconds took first place, Jin Woo Choi ’09 took second, and Yuji Develle ’10 took third place. Both of our 4 X 400 teams took first and second place.
Rectory had more of a presence in the field events. Hilton Chao ’11 took third place in the high jump, Jin Woo Choi ’09 took first place in the long jump, and Che Chengsupanimit ’09 took third place in the long jump. Johnathan Flores ’09 took second place in the shot put and Alejandro Perez ’09 took third place. In the last event the discus, Alejandro Perez ’09 took second place and Hayden Arnot ’09 took third place.
