Varsity Tennis v. Frontier
On easily (finally!) the first real day of spring, Eaglebrook Varsity Tennis hosted their very first match against South Deerfield’s Frontier High School. With plenty of guests from both sides eager to see their sons play, the doubles got underway. It was clear that our recent emphasis on rushing the net has paid off, as each of the four pairings found themselves in the win column.
Our eight singles matches went equally well, with all Brookies victorious. The groundstrokes seemed particularly impressive, as the Eagles are learning that stroking through the ball (rather than pushing) results in more accurate and confident play.
Once again our team demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and was grateful for the opportunity to create a new bond with the team just south of us. Now that we are 4-0, the pressure is on to keep the streak alive!
