JV2 Soccer vs. Mahar

On the coldest afternoon of the season, the JV2 soccer team was once again battling on their home turf. This time our opponent was neighboring Mahar. Given Mahar’s smaller roster, each team adjusted down to 10 on the field at a time. Fortunately, this allowed the Eagles to spread the field more effectively. Our passing was crisper than in days past, and we found the net frequently.

Even though the score was 8-0, the game was far closer. Each time had plenty of scoring opportunities, and all played with outstanding sportsmanship. While our understanding of the offsides rules could use some refinement, the team is starting to find its stride. Let’s hope that continues this afternoon when we host Hillside School at 4:00 p.m. today on Uppvall Field!
