Varsity B Hockey v. Bishops College

In their final game of what was a long weekend of hockey, Bishops College earned a last-second win over Eaglebrook Varsity B, 2-1. The game featured hard hitting, up and down action at both ends of the rink. Solid goaltending was featured especially in the Eaglebrook net as Remy Levine played spectacularly as he did all weekend. Eaglebrook had many opportunities to score but the Bishops goaltending was strong as well. Legs were clearly weary on both ends of the rink, but the emotion and the will to win was present to the end. Bishops pulled ahead halfway through the second period when Eaglebrook found itself shorthanded with some players out of position. A Bishops shot was deflected in front and the rebound found its way to a Bishops player who had an easy tap-in. Eaglebrook evened the game a mere 50 seconds later when Will Shaw found himself open in the slot with the puck on his stick. Shaw rang the shot off the post and into the net. The third period featured chances at both ends and an unfortunate lapse in concentration by Eaglebrook resulted in a Bishops player in front of the net alone. He roofed the puck with a mere 16 seconds remaining. Eaglebrook was not able to generate a scoring chance in the final seconds. After the game, Eaglebrook and Bishops swapped gifts and wished their roommates well on their trip home. It was a busy yet rewarding weekend of hockey for all involved.
