Varsity Lacrosse v. Cardigan

Looking to win the series with Cardigan, Eaglebrook took the field fired up and ready for what Cardigan might bring to the table. Both teams fought hard on ground balls and were productive in transition not wanting to give the other team any advantage. Sixth Form leaders set the tone for the game. Jimmy Bitter, Reed Kennedy, Michael Park, Penn Sednaoui, Zack Phillips, Brian Chung, Tim Welles, Reed Barbe, Jem Wilner, Michael Opalinski, Edward Kim, Tyler Piercy, Rory Burke, Cory Latour, and Max Ouimet all had a part in a convincing victory to close out their Eaglebrook lacrosse careers. Under Form contributions came from Thomas Shannon, Trey Camissa, Sean Connors, and Evan Neugold who look to use this season’s success as a starting point for next year. Scoring came from all areas of the field as both middies and attack converted on unsettled situations. Man up conversions helped Eaglebrook close the door when Cardigan made a third quarter surge to gain ground. The man down group held off several potential momentum gaining plays, while Ouimet again stood strong between the pipes. In a season that had many close games, Eaglebrook controlled their fate by displaying maturity with possession and poise on defense that outmatched the Cougar attack. Hard work, grit, determination, and team play defined this team. Strong leadership combined with an overwhelming passion for the game are how the 2008 Varsity Lacrosse team will be remembered. Eaglebrook 13, Cardigan 6.
