Thirds Basketball v. Wilbraham & Monson
Thirds Basketball broke into the win column with a dramatic 33-28 win over Wilbraham & Monson Academy at home on Wednesday, January 10 to improve its season mark to 1-3.
The Brookies actually started the contest slow as they took some time adjusting to their opponents' fast pace, trailing by as many as five in the early going. But with skipper Mr. Carlos Rios quick to identify the problem and subsequently instituting a tough in-your-face defense against the visitors, the tide quickly turned by the end of the first half.
The two teams would trade leads smaller than four points back and forth during an exciting second half that featured a slew of three's by the Brookies before home hosts pulled away late in the game to secure the hard-earned victory.
