The Class of 2025 Commencement

End-of-year activities at Eaglebrook are fun-filled and also steeped in tradition. The Class of 2025 graduated from Eaglebrook on Friday, June 23, on a cooler-than-normal New England day.

The 2025 Commencement Speaker was Mrs. Kate Gubelmann, whose relationship with the school goes back four generations and fifty years. She is the grandmother of Stokes Bostwick ’25, mother of Bingo Gubelmann ’95, aunt of Wyeth Gubelmann ’87, and sister of John Chrichton ’73. She told the group, “Today, as I look back, I think my best advice to all the decades would be: Love is the answer! Find a passion, love what you do, and fall in love!” Watch Mrs. Gubelmann’s full address here.

Jett Roberts spoke on behalf of the Class of 2025. “What we found here was something sacred, real, and rare. We found teachers who believed in us, sometimes before we believed in ourselves. We found coaches who pushed us beyond our limits, both physically and mentally. We found quiet moments of reflection and loud moments of victory. We found all that we were supposed to find to make us the best versions of ourselves. Watch Jett’s full speech here.

Head of School Andrew Chase gave the response to Jett’s speech, telling the group, “There were lots of failures and restarts on your way to success. You discovered that when you were curious, asking questions and finding answers, mistakes really didn’t matter….At Eaglebrook, mistakes are not only opportunities for better understanding. They also strengthen the community.” Watch Mr. Chase’s full speech here

Prescott Zee gave the prayer for the Class of 2025. “Thank you for the gifts of Eaglebrook,” he said, “a place that transcends the boundaries of a mere institution.” Watch the full prayer here

As we say goodbye to the Class of 2025, we of course wish them well, and we also wish that they meet every obstacle with the lessons that they learned at Eaglebrook, one of which is that mistakes always lead to progress. Watch the full 2025 Commencement Exercises here.
