Varsity Hockey v. Shamrock Elites

On Saturday the Eaglebrook Varsity ice hockey team faced off against the Shamrock Elites. As of late the Eagles have had trouble putting the puck in the net, but this was not the case in this game. Eaglebrook came out with a fierce intensity and a hunger for victory. The Eagles put the pressure on early in the first period and were able to score quickly. A strong effort backed by good goaltending led to a four-goal advantage by the end of the first. In the second period the tide began to turn. The Eagles came out flat and the Shamrock Elites quickly took advantage of the situation with a goal. This however, only fostered a stronger defensive effort out of Eaglebrook and any chance of a comeback was soon out of reach. Eaglebrook soon scored again and carried that momentum into the third period were they closed the game without allowing another goal.
