Why would you send a sixth-grade boy to boarding school? Shouldn't a ninth-grade student start high school? What is a junior boarding school? Make an appointment to visit us today and learn why Eaglebrook, a boarding and day school for boys in middle school, might be the right place for your son.
Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
The Development Tennis team boarded the bus right after classes to set off on our away game at Eagle Hill School in Hardwick, MA on May 14, 2015. The boys were great spectators as we watched our matches throughout the afternoon. While Eagle Hill did take the victory tonight, we had a few small victories of our own.
Of particular note was the doubles match of Riley Humphrey and Ethan Lam who managed a 6-2 win for Eaglebrook. Both Riley and Ethan had major improvements in the placement of their shots as well as preventing double faults in their serving. They were the last team to take to the courts tonight but their game sure was one of the most exciting to watch. We are proud, too, of the doubles team of Spencer Villani and Theo Reginensi who played an awesome game and drove several shots down the center of the court which earned them valuable points. They also achieved a 6-2 victory.
All boys were great sportsman and that was evident in seeing some participate in a pick-up game of basketball with Eagle Hill students after their tennis match was over… and evident in the compliments they all received on their behavior in McDonald's on the way home. We may have cleaned this McDonald's out of Oreo McFlurries and chicken nuggets as the boys certainly had no problem re-fueling.
