Why would you send a sixth-grade boy to boarding school? Shouldn't a ninth-grade student start high school? What is a junior boarding school? Make an appointment to visit us today and learn why Eaglebrook, a boarding and day school for boys in middle school, might be the right place for your son.
Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. Learn about the programs we offer at Eaglebrook, from athletics to arts.
At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
EBS Swim team’s top ten swimmers attended the NE Prep School Swim championship at Phillips Exeter Academy March 5. They were: Jared Armes '11, Larsen Bidsrup '11, David Cho '11, Henry Chou '11, Thomas Ferguson '12, RJ Finlay '12, Ryan Kim '11, Phon Leeswadrakul '12, Yuki Sato '11, and last but by far not least, Brandon Wu '12. Larsen Bidstrup surprised himself again by demolishing Chris Pielock's '06 200 IM record with a 2:09, and made consolation finals in the 100 Back earning 13th place overall. RJ Finlay broke 2 minutes in the 200 Free and Jared Armes obtained his season long goal by breaking 1 minute in the 100 free. The 400 free relay team of Bidstrup, Chou, Finlay, and Cho, broke their own record again for the 4th time this season, but this time by 3 more seconds with a 3:32. All had a great time and swam well-no DQ's and all but one swim was a personal best. We had the chance to visit with some Eaglebrook alumni: Auggie Morris '10 -Westminster, Alex Porter '09 and Sam Prout '10-Suffield, Ellison Taylor '10- Choate, Michael Yang '08, Jamie Pielock '08, Wilson Wang '09, and Ben Wood '09-Deerfield, all there to participate in the meet. We also had the pleasure of Kevin Carroll '08, fresh from the Eastern High School Swim Championships, assisting coaches Bo and Kulik on the pool deck for the meet. Kevin will be attending The University of Southern California in the fall and will be swimming for the Trojan's team.
