Varsity B Hockey v. Rectory

On Saturday, Eaglebrook’s league season ended in a 7-3 defeat to the hands of a skilled and disciplined Rectory team. Eaglebrook hit the ice flying, scoring the first goal early in the first period when Josh Roemer generated a turnover in the offensive zone, which Cam O’Connell fed to Henry Marshall to put Eaglebrook on top early. However, the legs were not moving as they were the week before against Cardigan and the hits weren’t coming either. Rectory evened the game before Gus Walsh tallied Eaglebrook’s second goal with a long shot that deflected off the Rectory goaltender into the net. The first period was the high point for Eaglebrook, as nothing went right in the second period. The skating stopped, the discipline broke down, and five goals later, Rectory had put the game effectively out of reach. Eaglebrook and Rectory trades a goal apiece in the third period to finish eh game with a 7-3 final. Chuck Goldstein scored Eaglebrook’s third goal assisted by Hamilton Drucker and Conor Sullivan.

On a more positive note, Eaglebrook’s goaltender Remy Levine was voted the first-team All-Star Goaltender for the league this year. Our congratulations to Remy for his hard work this year.
