Development Tennis v. Eaglehill
The Development Tennis team celebrated the last day of April by driving through the Quabbin Territory and the Harvard Forest. We witnessed the beginnings of spring, with a hillside of blooming rhododendron and a Great Blue Heron flying above. The forest was suffering from the dramatic effects of the white pine weevil. Happily a dense and magical under growth of smaller white pine trees are making their way up as the canopy allows the light through.
The Eaglebrook School Development Tennis team did exceptionally well at the match against Eagle Hill School, winning 8 out of 9 of the matches. Brian Catano held his own against their 4th ranked JV player. Steven Arnold won both of his singles matches. Andrew Allen, Soo Keun Ra, Alex Porter, Robert George, and Cullen LaPointe also won their singles matches. Our doubles teams, Brian Catano and Andrew Allen, and Alex Porter and Soo Keun Ra were also victorious. Our team showed great sportsmanship and camaraderie, traits that we appreciate in our team members.
