After a tough loss on Friday, the boys bounced back with a last second come from behind, 40-39, victory against Chicopee Comp on Sunday, February 22. Eaglebrook struggled to get in the flow throughout the entire first half, and despite this and some poor shooting, only trailed 22-21 at the break. The boys came out of the half fired up and quickly took a lead on a pair of free throws by Raquish Foster. Our lead didn't last very long and we trailed for most of the second half. Down 4 points with 1:12 remaining in the game, Eaglebrook's defense finally locked in and held Chicopee scoreless on their final 5 possessions. Eaglebrook cut the lead to 2 points after a steal and beautiful assist by Tim Haggerty, on a Ryan Gravina lay up with 39 seconds to play. Raquish Foster then came up with a huge rebound on the defensive end, followed by what would be the game winning 3 pointer by Hadley Stone with 19 seconds to go. Eaglebrook held off three more Chicopee possessions in the closing seconds.
