Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
On the first hot day of the spring, the Varsity Lacrosse team faced off against a Belmont Hill team that refused to back down despite Eaglebrook’s lead going into the half. The teams swapped goals in the first quarter and Eaglebrook’s team took this quarter to get their bearings. With some strong possession on offense, Eaglebrook was able to cushion their lead. Belmont mounted a strong surge in the third and fourth quarters to bring the score within two near the end of regulation. With 19 seconds remaining in the game, Belmont closed within one and ran out of time to even the score. Eaglebrook spent much of the second half man down, and tried to remain composed through out. Scoring came from the attack core, and the strong willed play of Reed Kennedy, Thomas Shannon, Evan Neugold, and Brain Chung led the midfield. Max Ouimet stood strong between the pipes giving his team a chance to win the game down the stretch. Eaglebrook 8, Belmont Hill 7.
