Thirds Tennis Faces Live Competition for the First Time after a Rainy Spring

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – May 10, 2024 – The Thirds Tennis team faced its first live competition against Williston Northampton on Friday, playing six singles matches and three doubles matches.

Coach Jeff Lamb said it was an amazing learning experience, despite a Williston sweep on the courts, with each player learning where his strengths lie and what he needs to improve. The outing ended with a trip to Tom’s Long Dogs in Whately, Massachusetts for great burgers and fries and a classic car show.
The very next day, the Brookies played Cardigan’s Fourths team, winning one match and dropping the remainder. The team showed significant improvement from the day before, however, demonstrating a much better understanding of the game.

The team is looking forward to its final match of the season - also against Cardigan - at Eaglebrook on Saturday.
