Varsity hockey vs. Belmont Hill School

The Eagles traveled to Belmont Hill School for their annual freshman team Christmas tournament.  As tradition has it they would play the host in game one of the single-elimination tourney.  The two teams took the ice and a battle of quality opponents ensued.  The Eagles opened up the scoring with two goals in the first period about a minute apart from each other.  Following those goals, the next 30 min would provide all in attendance with a goaltending clinic put on by the Eagles tendy. The Eagles were outplayed at times during the stretch especially as their hosts became desperate to score, but great defensive zone play and penalty killing supported by spectacular save after save would see the score remain 2-0 as the final horn sounded.
