11 Sixth Formers attend ChargerMUN Conference

11 Sixth Formers participated in the annual ChargerMUN conference hosted by the University of New Haven on Saturday, December 7. Each student was divided amongst three separate committees, all of which dealt with human rights in regions of instability around the world. This was the first Model UN conference for some but a few had participated in a Model UN conference at Choate last spring. This time around, Conan C. ‘20 won an award for "Outstanding Delegate" in the Human Rights Council and Kyle P. ‘20 won the same award in the UN Refugee Agency. “For many of the delegates, it was an enjoyable first Model UN experience, while for the more experienced delegates it was a valuable opportunity to further develop their skills and compete against high school students,” said Mr. Leyden, Director of Studies.
