Varsity Baseball v. Williston Northampton
Wednesday's game against Williston Northampton was a heartbreaker for Eaglebrook, as we lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat, despite out-hitting Williston six to three. Eaglebrook went up 3-1 early in the game, powered by a triple by Matt Como, a double by Tynan Creagh, and singles by Dylan Royal, Hans Forselius, James Clavel, and Bobby Miele. Unfortunately late in the game, the bats fell flat, and Williston crawled back, scoring the tying run on a balk, and the go-ahead run on an infield pop-fly miscommunication error in the top of the seventh. Kiernan Keller started the game, going five innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out six. Tynan Creagh pitched well in relief allowing zero hits and one run while striking out three and walking none in the final two frames of the game. It was another complete game effort by the team, providing great learning opportunities as we look for our first win.
