Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
The team’s first home game brought better luck than we had in the first three away games. Josh Kwon set the defensive tone early with several knockdowns of the disc, and our offensive deeps were finding themselves open for some catches deep in the offensive zone. After a bit of coaxing by me the team settled into a more easily played short pass game, but did always seem to throw the long pass when it was available. I was quite pleased at several points in the game to see the team making short passes in quick succession down the field. This is always a good sign that the team as a whole isd feeling more comfortable handling the disc and that they are running into the open spaces that are available to them.
In the first half we started and ended the scoring with Alex Leong. In between those two points were Alex Lorenzo (twice, Zach Lee, and Kevin Li (thrice). The assists went to Alex Lorenzo (twice), Phineas Walsh, Aiden Docherty, Ty Burapachaisri (twice), and Shane McCarthy (twice).
Our second half scorers were Leon Loung, Kevin, Zach, Aiden, Alex and Alex, and Andrew Wu. They were assisted by Ty for the first four, Preston Dotson, and Alex and Alex.
Everybody played well and contributed to this win. The whole team should be pleased with the results and with the effort.
