At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
On a busy Friday evening, Eaglebrook hosted in the Alfond Arena a pivotal game between Cushing Academy and Westminster School, prior to the Eagles taking the ice against the CT Chiefs. In the earlier game, the two titans battled back and forth the first two periods before putting on a riveting third period, scoring six goals in total. However, Cushing Academy was able to pull away late with a 5-2 final. The Eagles enjoyed watching JP Schuhlen ’12 tally a goal in the contest. Following the game, Schuhlen was able to make his way down to the Eaglebrook locker room and offer inspiring pre-game remarks before the boys squared off with the CT Chiefs. Those remarks served the boys well as they played purposeful and disciplined hockey throughout the next 45 minutes. Austin Propper would kick things off for the home team, powering through the opposition and finishing on a nice end-to-end rush for the games first tally. From there, the Eagles didn’t look back, as they played cohesively and had a strong showing in all three zones. Charlie Kenyon was a constant presence around the net; Carson Moe showcased pinpoint accuracy, and Kennedy O’Connor had a strong showing from the backend, as all three players finished with a pair of goals. The Eagles were able to withstand the Chiefs offensive attack and came away with a 7-2 victory. The boys had a quick turnaround and will look to carry that momentum into tomorrow’s contest against the Western Mass Wizards.
