Global Day

Global Day will be held on May 6, 2021, the focus for this year is on Climate Change. Peter Mckillop '73, the founder and editor of climate and capital media will be setting the stage for the day. The Third Form will be constructing birdhouses, doing a climate change scavenger hunt, and enjoying the beautiful Eaglebrook landscape. The Fourth Form and Fifth Form will sign up for several activities such as a climate change scavenger hunt, developing a trail of poetry, cooking a sustainable lunch, and much more. In the afternoon the Fourth Form will participate in a clean our waterways design challenge. Additionally, they will be testing and sampling the Deerfield River. The Sixth Form will do a river cleanup and then go whitewater rafting. The Deerfield River is important both in the past and present to our community and will be central in the Global day themes for these two forms. The Fifth Form will participate in a leadership training program, as they will be moving into leadership positions on campus next year. Caring for the environment is something that Eaglebrook students have practiced all year having several energy and water-saving contests by dorm with the most sustainable dorm receiving a dress down day. Global Day has been important in that tradition.

Day Students should arrive on campus by 8:45 a.m. and pickup for all Day Students will be from 4:30-5:15 p.m.
