Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
On Saturday, Eaglebrook Juniors Lacrosse wrapped up its season with an emphatic 7-2 victory over Cardigan Mountain. The boys wasted no time after the long bus ride quickly jumping on the Cougars early, securing a 2-0 lead. Two Jack Theriault goals paced Eaglebrook. The first was a beautiful feed on a break from Seth Bowman and the second was off a feed from Jack's brother, Connor. Cardigan grabbed one goal back by the end of the first quarter but by the end of the first, Eaglebrook goaltender Will Graney had already sent a loud and clear message that this would not be an easy to beat him on this day. Eaglebrook extended their lead to 5-2 by halftime, paced by two more Jack Theriault goals, one on a feed from Tommy Litle off a beautiful fast break and the other from another Seth Bowman feed. Carson Moe scored Eaglebrook's fifth goal on a man up after a beautiful give and go with Jack Theriault. The second half could not have started better for Eaglebrook, as Eamon Garrity Rokous won the opening draw and steamed down the field on a fast break and fed Moe who converted for his second. Connor Theriault closed the scoring with a man up goal on a feed from his brother, Jack. Will Graney pitched a shutout in the second half making several difficult saves seem simple. Eaglebrook's defense was up the task all day long, led by Joe Henry who played the whole game. Charlie Kenyon and Cole Payton anchored the stellar defense, which was important as Jack Lund went out early with an injury. The midfield played superb all day, as Ollie Pink and Nalty Hodges, Clark Lotuff played great two way play all game. Joe Bouchard submitted a solid game on offense. Eaglebrook also takes the time to salute our injured team members - Thomas Rule and Charlie Whitelaw - who were not healthy enough to play. Coaches Rose and Satow thank all of the boys for their hard work this year.
