2021-2022 School Year Planning

We are looking forward to the 2021-2022 school year and a return to normal! We will make sure to update this page should adjustments be required based on conditions with the pandemic and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) & the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH).

  • Health & Safety

    Will Covid-19 vaccines be required for students & employees?
    Covid-19 vaccines will be required for all eligible students and all employees, prior to the start of school in September. Parents should upload their child's Covid-19 vaccine card in the immunization portion of the Magnus health forms.

    What Covid-19 vaccines will Eaglebrook accept? 
    Eaglebrook will accept COVID-19 vaccines with emergency use authorization from the FDA or vaccines with eventual emergency use listing for children on the WHO vaccine list.  

    What will the health and safety protocols be for unvaccinated students (11-year-olds) in the fall?
    For those students that are not vaccinated at the start of the school year, pre-arrival and arrival Covid-19 PCR testing may be required as well as masking for the first 10 days of school. However, there will not be a quarantine period for these students and they will be able to participate in all activities. 

    Note: Eaglebrook plans to coordinate Covid-19 vaccinations upon FDA approval if approval occurs during the school year.

    Will masks be required on campus next year?
    No! We do not anticipate requiring masks on campus. 

    Will regular Covid-19 testing take place next year?
    No! We do not anticipate that we will conduct regular Covid-19 testing for fully vaccinated students and employees but depending on the Covid-19 prevalence, there may be rapid testing upon arrival during orientation.

    Will Boarding Students be required to quarantine before coming to campus in September?
    No! We do not anticipate that quarantine will be required before arriving on campus. 

    Who should I contact if my child has a religious or medical exemption for vaccinations?
    Please contact the Health Office at (413) 774-9181 or email healthcenter@eaglebrook.org regarding any vaccine exemptions.
  • Campus & School Life

    Will there be family-style meals for the whole community in Gibbs Dining Hall? 
    Yes! We will return to our traditional family-style meals with the whole community in Gibbs Dining Hall. 

    Will parents, families, alumni, and friends be allowed on campus during the 2021-2022 school year?
    Yes! Parents, families, alumni, and friends will be allowed to visit campus throughout the school year. 

    Will Eaglebrook offer off-campus weekend trips for students? 
    Yes! We will return to offering a wide variety of weekend trips for students off-campus during the 2021-2022 school year. 

    Will Boarding Students be able to go home or to a friend's house on weekends? 
    Yes! We anticipate that students will be able to schedule weekend visits home. All first-year students will not be able to take a weekend until after Country Fair. All students must fill out a weekend permissions form and return it to Mr. Fox, Dean of Students, by Thursday at lunchtime in order to take a weekend. 

    Will Eaglebrook offer Boarding Students the option of staying on campus for the Thanksgiving Break or Winter Break?
    No. We will not offer Boarding Students the option of staying on campus for Thanksgiving Break or Winter Break during the 2021-2022 school year.

    Will Eaglebrook host in-person events and gatherings for the community. 
    Yes! We will return hosting in-person events for parents and the Eaglebrook community, including Country Fair Weekend on October 15 & 16, 2021, and Winter Carnival Weekend on February 4 & 5, 2022. Additionally, we look to host various events around the northeast and U.S.

  • Academics

    Will Eaglebrook offer a Remote Learning option in the fall or during the 2021-2022 school year? 
    No. We will not offer a Remote Learning Option during the fall or during the 2021-2022 school year, as we expect that all students will be able to attend school in person.
  • Athletics

    Will there be interscholastic sports games in the fall and throughout the 2021-2022 school year?
    Yes! We will have a full schedule of interscholastic athletic events. The Athletics Office has already begun scheduling interscholastic games for all our fall sports teams.
