A Season of Giving

Eaglebrook School students and faculty raised money between Thanksgiving and winter break for Adopt-a-Family, an organization that provides families in need with a little bit of Christmas cheer. Students living in the five dormitories came up with different plans to raise the money; some sold hot chocolate, while others went from room to room collecting donations. After a substantial amount of money was raised, the presents were bought using the wish lists for each family provided by the local Adopt-a-Family organization as a guide. The Ski Team, who could not yet get on the hill to train due to lack of snow, wrapped some of the presents for the families during sports late last week. Various degrees of wrapping skills were brought in to play, but all of the boys knew that they were doing something for a good cause, so they put in the extra effort. See photos of the wrapping party.

The Eaglebrook School chorus and string orchestra was also instrumental in spreading holiday cheer this season. Both groups visited local nursing homes and schools to perform some holiday favorites. See photos of the chorus singing at a nearby nursing home.
