Eaglebrook Celebrates its 80th Country Fair

While off to a gloomy start due to rain in the forecast the 2022 Country Fair and Parents’ weekend rose to people’s expectations as the weather warmed up and the sky opened to what would be a beautiful fall day in New England. Country Fair got off to its official start on Wednesday night when students in their faculty groups began to make posters to advertise their concessions. Students eagerly awaited the arrival of their parents on Friday. Parents filled the assembly area to watch Jeffery Lim ’23 the president of the Student Council gives his assembly. Parents then attended all seven class periods with their children. Photos from the Country Fair class day can be found here. Later in the afternoon, it was time for Eaglebrook’s 80th Country Fair on Memorial Field. It was wonderful to see so many families, friends, and alumni enjoying one of our most loved traditions. After the Fair, Sixth Formers and their parents headed to the Assembly Area for a Secondary School Advising panel with admissions officers from Deerfield Academy, Westminster School, and Millbrook School. The admissions officers gave students and parents some great advice as they prepared to embark on secondary school visits this week. While that happened, there were Parents’ Symposias by Form for the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Forms.

The day ended with an Evening of the Arts where students performed a feat of musical pieces followed by three one-act plays. Click here to see the full recording of the event and here for pictures from the night.

Parents arrived back on campus on Saturday for a series of athletic contests. The day began with in-person parent-teacher conferences followed by the kick-off to a day of sports; the Varsity water polo match against Deerfield Academy. After this was lunch and the Parents’ Association Meeting where Sixth Formers, Trustees, and Head of School Andrew Chase spoke about their experiences with Eaglebrook.

On Saturday afternoon, the fields came alive with many teams competing. The afternoon saw almost every Eaglebrook Sport competing to some degree. Find photos from Country Fair Sports here

Country Fair is a wonderful tradition that brings students, families, and faculty together for a weekend of fun. Thanks to all the parents and alumni who visited, and we hope to see you soon for Winter Carnival.
