At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
Eaglebrook Varsity Tennis earned a hard-fought victory against rivals, Cardigan Mountain School, last Saturday. The usual order of events took place: 3 doubles matches and 6 singles matches. However, singles played best of three sets with a tiebreaker at tied sets.
Despite the overall score and the scores in games, all players had to dig deep for each point, game, and set. Cardigan's highly skilled players proved to be the biggest challenge the Eagles have faced so far this season. After earning the first point from three doubles wins, the Eagles were not allowed to become complacent in the singles. In fact, a couple of singles players for the Eagles pushed through to win their first and last sets 7-5.
This was an epic match and a well-deserved win for the Eaglebrook team against strong competitors.
Eaglebrook will play Cardigan again at home in what will most definitely be a match to watch at the end of the season! Until then, the Eagles look ahead to Saturday when they will play Frontier Regional High School.
