Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
Varsity soccer opened up their season at home against Williston Northampton School on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Both teams started strong with Eaglebrook having an edge in possession and Williston looking to play quickly in behind. The play went back and forth until Eaglebrook’s Alfred D. '22 was able to drive through the Williston defenders and slot nicely past the goalkeeper. Williston responded quickly and lofted a shot into the area that found its way into the net. In turn, Eaglebrook ramped up the pressure and a beautiful combination between Efe I. '23, Nick K. '22, and Alfred D. '22 put Eaglebrook up 2-1. The sides were evenly matched as the first half ended and Ian C. '22 made a massive reflex save on a quick shot from inside the area. Williston started the second half strong and pinned Eaglebrook into their own area. Williston tied the match after a fast break and a finish off a cross midway through the second half. Eaglebrook created several opportunities as the match hit its final minutes with Alfredo D. '22 almost finding the winning goal. Erik L. '22 made several key saves in the second half to preserve the tie. There were also impressive performances from Aidan T. '23 and Zachary C. '22 on defense. Overall a good first competitive match for Eaglebrook to start the year and they now look forward to their involvement in the Williston Soccer Invitational this coming Saturday.
