FACULTY SPOTLIGHT: Wiley Robinson

Mr. Robinson began at Eaglebrook in 2017 as a history teacher and coach of soccer and hockey. In his off-duty time, he enjoys travel and exploration with his wife Heather who lives with him in Mayer House. He additionally finds surfing, watching soccer, and reading as favorite pastimes.

What are your roles at Eaglebrook? I am a History teacher, Varsity soccer coach, advisor in Mayer, and one of the TEDx Coordinators. 

Proudest Achievement? It would probably be working my way into a Division 1 coaching position at my alma mater. 

Last book you read? Washington Black by Esi Edugyan. 

My soundtrack is? A little Grateful Dead and some surf rock Beatles. 

Movie you would recommend? Lincoln directed by Steven Spielberg. 

Favorite Food? Pizza 

Best Advice Ever Received? Keep working hard and gain experience. 

Why Eaglebrook? I was looking to get into teaching and coaching and Eaglebrook is a perfect fit close to home, and I feel connected to the area. 

What are your interests/hobbies? Traveling with my wife, biking, reading, music, and surfing. 

What animal do you identify with most? A black lab or a dolphin.
