Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
On Saturday, Eaglebrook's JV1 basketball team traveled up north to their rival Cardigan Mountain School. Coming off a strong week of practice, the Eagles entered the game with pure confidence. From the tip-off, it was clear that Eaglebrook came to compete. It was a back and forth game for the first 7 minutes, however, once the Brookies found their stride, there was no turning back. From shooting lights out from range, to dominating the boards, Eaglebrook took full control of the game. The energy and effort this team displayed was outstanding and showed that they have what it takes to be a top team. Eaglebrook was up by 10 points at the half and continued to build on their lead once they entered the second half, ending the game-winning by 25 points. The team put on a great show and will be resting over the weekend to prepare for a quick turnaround game on Monday.
