Thirds Basketball v. Hartsbrook

Thirds basketball won its fourth game of the season by topping Hartsbrook School in a 52-23 final at home on Tuesday afternoon to improve to a 4-4 mark. The game began with both teams trading a pair of turnovers in a rocky start before the home hosts went on a 9-2 run to set the tone for the rest of the contest. In addition to the traditional 2-3 zone, the Eagles were able to give their opponents several different looks on the defensive side of the ball by running a man-to-man scheme and double-teaming the opposition whenever possible. That led to a series of easy transition baskets on the offensive side of the ball to put the game out of reach long before the final buzzer sounded. Next up for the Eagles will be a tough road trip to Cannan, NH to take on our archrivals at the Cardigan Mountain School with tipoff scheduled for 5:30 on Saturday afternoon.
