Why would you send a sixth-grade boy to boarding school? Shouldn't a ninth-grade student start high school? What is a junior boarding school? Make an appointment to visit us today and learn why Eaglebrook, a boarding and day school for boys in middle school, might be the right place for your son.
Eaglebrook School was founded in 1922 by Howard Gibbs as a private boarding and day school for boys in middle school. Learn about our school in Deerfield, Massachusetts then and now, and read about the Core Skills we think every boy should know.
At Eaglebrook, we recognize that all students learn in different ways, vary in their innate abilities, and come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Classes at Eaglebrook are organized to meet the needs of each boy.
Eaglebrook is a close community of middle school students, teachers, and their families. Activities outside of the academic classroom are important to the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of boys in middle school. Learn about the programs we offer at Eaglebrook, from athletics to arts.
At Eaglebrook, boys learn more than they ever thought possible, discover inner resources, develop self-confidence, and have fun along the way. Delivering on our mission is only possible through the incredible generosity of alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and friends.”
Eaglebrook’s 77th Country Fair Weekend began on Wednesday, October 16, when advisee groups spent the evening preparing their posters to advertise their concession groups. Photos from prep night are here.
Students were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their parents on Friday, October 18. Parents attended all seven-block periods with their children. Photos from the day can be found here. Later in the afternoon, Mr. Koenigsbauer held a Sixth Form secondary school placement panel with admissions officers from three local boarding schools including Deerfield Academy, Northfield Mount Hermon, and Westminster. Later in the evening, the Eaglebrook Performing Arts Department presented an Evening of the Arts in the Assembly Area. The school chorus performed along with a few piano soloists. The evening ended with a very entertaining performance of “How to Win at Life” by Don Zolidis. See photos here and watch a scene from the play here.
It was a picturesque fall day for the 77th Eaglebrook Country Fair on Saturday morning and the weather was beautiful. There was quite a large great crowd gathered on Infirmary Field and students and families were able to enjoy the concession booths. It was great to see so many families and friends enjoying one of our most cherished traditions. See photos from the morning here and watch a fun video here.
Country Fair is a wonderful tradition that brings students, families, faculty, and staff together for a weekend of fun. Thank you for visiting, and we hope to see you soon!
