Alums Return to Summer Semester

We are always happy when Eaglebrook alums return to the Hill. Whether it is for a tour of campus and a catch-up with a former teacher or taking a job as part of the faculty or staff, the Eaglebrook community is lucky to benefit from the support of our alums. The four-week Summer Semester program, held in July each year, is a big attractor for younger alums who want experience in the teaching world. Young alums are able to join the team working at Summer Semester as interns who shadow experienced teachers and help run the program.

“One of the greatest strengths of the Summer Semester is the intern program,” says Brian Rose ’98, the director of Summer Semester. “Our interns are eager and dedicated young educators who aid the faculty while providing a safe environment for the students. Every year, I am amazed at the number of alumni who return to Eaglebrook to be a part of the intern program. Seven alums who attended Eaglebrook as students, and three alums from Summer Semester are working for the Summer Semester program this year. Having alums be a part of the program helps to seed culture and promote camaraderie. These folks are vital to the success of the Summer Semester,” Mr. Rose concludes.
