Varsity Lacrosse v. Choate

The boys had a quick turnaround from their previous game, as they headed south to take on the Wild Boars of Choate on Saturday, May 5. The opening half proved to give the Eagles some trouble, as the offense was anemic and was not able to string together effective passes. Early on the defensive unit had trouble stopping a quick-footed Wild Boar attack unit, but rebounded nicely with some key stops later in the half. Although the score stood 4-0 in favor of the Wild Boars, Eaglebrook knew they needed to look within themselves, rather than worry about the competition, in order to get back in the game. With that renewed belief, the Eagles’ level of play increased and the bounces started going their way. Despite hitting four posts in the last quarter, Eaglebrook boys outscored the opposition 3-2. However, the final score stood 6-3 in favor of Choate. Having that same 2nd half effort over the entirety of the game is what the Eagles will look for heading into Tuesday’s contest against Deerfield Academy.
