Paul B. Cyr-Mutty

Paul B. Cyr-Mutty is the Director of the Eaglebrook Center for Middle School Teaching and Learning. A faculty member at Eaglebrook for 31 years. In his career, he has taught English and World Views, and also coached football, skiing, and tennis and served as a Dorm Head, English Department Chair, Summer Semester’s Academic Director, and Safety Coordinator. Paul graduated from Middlesex School, earned his BA and certification as a secondary school English teacher at Connecticut College, received his MALS from Wesleyan University writing his thesis on the fool  as a transitional character in Shakespeare’s comedies and tragedies, and earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania in 2017, writing his dissertation on using reality-based scenarios as a technique for helping novice faculty learn a relational approach to teaching.

Ginny Morsman

Ginny joined Eagblebrook School in the summer of 2017 as Director of Curriculum. She grew up in Deerfield, MA in a family of educators. She started her career as a classroom teacher in elementary schools before switching to curriculum work for both elementary and middle schools. She earned her B.A. from the University of Richmond and her M.S.Ed from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to Eaglebrook, she worked in a variety of schools on the east and west coasts of the United States and also served as a Curriculum Consultant. In addition to working in the Curriculum Office, Ginny advises, coaches tennis, and teaches in the Academic Support department. She lives by the tennis courts with Mr. Townsend. 

Rachel Blain

Rachel Blain has been teaching at the middle school level for 33 years. With initial steps in elementary and high school, she came to Eaglebrook as a substitute and discovered the charm of teaching middle school boys.  Three decades later, Rachel has served as dorm parent, coach, department chair, mentor teacher, and associate in the Curriculum Office. A Philips Academy and Amherst College graduate, Rachel pursued her M.A.T. in French at the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont. At Eaglebrook Rachel has found a home base in the English department.

Miles Harlow

Miles joined the Eaglebrook faculty in 2018 as a teacher, advisor, and coach after graduating from Smith College that same year with his Masters of Arts in Teaching. Miles entered the private school world when he joined the faculty here after initially teaching mathematics at John F. Kennedy Middle School in Northampton, MA., and completing his graduate fellowship through Project Coach at Gerena Community School in Springfield, MA. Miles’ graduate training merged with Eaglebrook’s core philosophy when it comes to relationship teaching, emotional growth, and youth development, making Eaglebrook a logical home. Miles is one of the Faculty Learning Group leaders at Eaglebrook, and the leader of the Chinese Affinity Group. Miles is also a soccer, recreational skiing, and baseball coach while serving as an advisor and dorm parent in Mayer House.
