There were 130 guests on campus, and the class of 2009 had the most alumni return to the Hill. The weather throughout the weekend was exceptional and gave alumni the opportunity to explore their old home.
The celebration kicked off on Friday with a barbeque dinner on Infirmary Field. It offered alums a chance to reflect while taking in the beautiful scenery. On Saturday, an Alumni Memorial Service was held in the Assembly Area. After the conclusion of the service, alumni and their guests went upstairs to the library for the always impactful and entertaining Eaglebrook Today Talk. The session began with Headmaster Andrew Chase ‘73 asking fellow alumni to speak about an Eaglebrook faculty member who made an impact on them and shaped them into the person they are today. Alumni also learned about all things Eaglebrook, as Paul Cyr-Mutty, Dean of Faculty, Karl Koenigsbauer, Dean of Placement, Rich Fox, Dean of Students, Christopher Loftus, Director of Admissions, and Eric Malloy, Chief Financial Office, and Anna Bognolo, Library Director spoke about the status and trends in their individual departments. A fabulous lunch under the tent on Infirmary Field followed which included each class getting together for a photo op. In the afternoon, alumni had the opportunity to hike to the Rock with Adam Williams ‘96, Outdoor Program Coordinator. A cocktail reception was held that evening under the tent on the Gates Quad with accompanying music by longtime faculty member Gary Maynard and his jazz group. A beautiful candlelight dinner was held in the Gibbs Dining Hall to cap off the weekend. Pam Koenigsbauer was recognized for her 43 years of service followed with a few speeches by alums from each class being recognized.
