Art Department Hosts Exhibition of Student Artwork

The Art Department hosted a Year-End Exhibition of student artwork during the final week of school. Eaglebrook has a diverse set of course offerings in the Visual Arts Department, that include Printmaking, Woodworking, Altered Clothing, Stained Glass, Stone Carving and many more. Over the course of the year, students created impressive visual art pieces, and the exhibition was a great way to showcase their work. The majority of the artwork shown was created during the spring trimester, however, there were a handful of pieces from the fall and winter trimesters. The opening reception and exhibition took place in the Chiang Atrium on Thursday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. with live music performed by Ms. Emily Luker. The majority of the school community attended the opening reception including many families of day students. The show stayed up until after Baccalaureate. Over 100 students displayed artwork in the show. “Our students do incredible work and often it isn’t seen by the community. I wanted to give these student artists a stage to display their talents and celebrate their hard work” said Mrs. Fay, Art Department Chair.
