Varsity Baseball v. Cardigan Mountain

Eaglebrook Varsity baseball hosted an always-excellent Cardigan Mountain School Varsity on Saturday for our last game of the season. Eaglebrook played competently for seven innings, outhitting Cardigan 6-4, but walks and a costly four-run fourth inning proved to be the difference maker. The final score was 8-4. Tynan Creagh led Eaglebrook with two hits, and the team rose to the occasion on defense, even turning two double plays. Matt Como's acrobatic catch in deep Center Field, saving a likely home run, and then doubling the runner off at first base was the play of the game. Though it wasn't the outcome we were hoping for, it was an exciting game to be a part of from start to finish. Our final two games of the season demonstrated our best effort and immense improvement since our spring training trip to Florida. We coaches are incredibly proud of our team and the family we became over the course of the season. Many thanks to our Sixth Form leaders for the example they set, and all of the family and guests who supported us throughout the season.
